Safe Deposit Boxes
If you have valuables (jewelry, gold/silver, birth certificates, wills), you might want to consider obtaining a safe deposit box to give you peace of mind.
When you rent the box, you and anyone else you want to give access to the box must sign a card. Every time you visit the box, your signature is compared to the signature on that card. It takes two keys to open the box, yours and the credit union's. SwRCFCU doesn’t keep a copy of your key, so if you lose it, the box will have to be drilled open at a cost of $175.
Discounted rates are offered to members with a checking account or aggregate deposit/balance of $10,000 or more.
