Southwest Research Center Federal Credit Union is owned by its members and is directed by a board of directors that you elect. You can be confident that your financial privacy is a top priority of this Credit Union. We are required by law to give you this privacy notice to explain how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal financial information.
We are committed to providing you with competitive products and services to meet your financial needs. In order to do so, we have entered into agreements with other companies that provide services or additional financial products for you to consider. These agreements may necessitate that we share information about you to complete your transactions and to provide you with certain financial opportunities.

How We Protect Your Information
The confidentiality, security, and integrity of your nonpublic personal information is taken very seriously by your Credit Union. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. Our mployees are trained in the importance of maintaining confidentiality and member privacy. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
We use security features on our website to help prevent unauthorized access to your information. We update and test our security as necessary to improve the protection of information and its integrity. Our site employs SSL 128-bit encryption. The level of encryption you ultimately obtain is dependent upon your browser's capability.
Nonpublic Personal Information and Nonaffiliated Third Parties
We may also disclose information we collect about you under other circumstances as permitted or required by law. These disclosures typically include information to process transactions on your behalf, conduct the operations of our Credit Union, follow your instructions as you authorize, or protect the security of your financial needs.
If you terminate your membership with Southwest Research Center Federal Credit Union, we will not share information we have collected about you, except as permitted or required by law.
Collection and Retention of Member Information
When you visit our website, we will automatically collect the date and time of your visit, the Internet provider address you were assigned, and the pages you access on our website. If you participate in any surveys and/or site registrations, we will retain that information as well. The information we obtain from you will remain strictly confidential. Examples of how member information may be used include, but are not limited to: (1) improving our website; (2) notifying you about updates or enhancements to our website; (3) contacting you for special promotions; or (4) keeping you informed of developments in the Credit Union Movement.
Collection and Retention of E-Mail Addresses
If you choose to provide us with your e-mail address, it will be used in the manner specified by you. This information will not be sold to nonaffiliated third parties. However, if you authorize it, we will provide your e-mail address to a nonaffiliated third party we hire to provide services to you.
Disclosure of Member Account Information
We will provide personally identifiable information about you to a nonaffiliated third party such as a vendor or service company that we hire to prepare your account statements or to provide support or services for one or more of our products. These vendors and service companies have agreed to safeguard our confidential information about you, and any products and services, which you use.
Except as stated above, we will not knowingly reveal any account information or other personally identifiable information to a nonaffiliated third party, unless one of the following applies: (1) The information is required in order to complete a transaction initiated by you; (2) You request or authorize the disclosure of information; (3) We are required or allowed to by law; or (4) The information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency.
Please Note: E-mail sent to Southwest Research Center Federal Credit Union may be used by the Credit Union's staff and volunteers to answer questions, to follow up on suggestions, or to improve the level of service Southwest Research Center Federal Credit Union provides. E-mail may not be secured and is subject to interception by unauthorized individuals. Therefore, if you wish to communicate sensitive or personal information you may want to send it by postal mail.
Use of this system constitutes consent to security testing and monitoring. ALL network traffic on this system is constantly monitored for security, copyright, and statistical purposes. Unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, to download this entire website, or otherwise cause damage are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and any other applicable local, state, federal and/or international laws.
