Membership Services Sales Representative
Summary:
Provides excellent member service to current and non-members by pursuing each encounter as a selling and/or servicing opportunity with the intent that it develops into a full financial relationship with strong product/service utilization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identifies needs and cross-sells appropriate products/services to potential/existing credit union members resulting in the enhanced product utilization and overall growth of the Credit Union.
Actively solicits and opens all account products ensuring that other corresponding convenience products such as debit cards, Card Valet, Mobile Banking, SwOnline, and Mobile Deposit are sold.
Ensures completeness of documentation for all requested financial products, services and the set-up of new accounts in accordance to policy and procedures. Prepares new member packets weekly.
Prepares, compiles, processes, and completes any new/member request for membership, debit card, share draft account, share certificate, ACH originations, Overdraft privilege, paid loans, address changes, and safe deposit box requests in accordance with policy and procedures. Also accurately processes requests for check ordering, wire, pays auto drafts and determines NADA values for autos as needed.
Actively solicits applications of all consumer loan products and routes any incoming loan requests in a timely manner to department personnel for processing after inputting data from member's request.
Completes all related documents to weekly paid loan listing and mails correspondence to members that may include release of liens on auto titles.
Performs outside calls to existing members to build financial relationship by cross-selling products/services to include a follow-up call within one week of account opening.
Ensures that the lobby deposit and lending rate boards are accurate.
Responsible for the cross-training of employees within the department as directed.
Responds to member inquiries and requests regarding account in a professional, positive and engaged manner.
Responsible for timely filing of all documents associated and/or related to member folders.
Performs and serves as a primary back-up to the cash department.
Ensures that Superior member service is delivered during every face-to-face or telephonic member encounter.
Cross-sell all credit union products and services and promote a positive and friendly work environment.
Research, compile and assist in any special project, as assigned.
Support other departments as directed.
Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in on-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to calculate figures such as rate, discounts, interest and percentages.
Administrative Policy:
This position is a non-exempt post, in which the employee will work a 40-hour week, with no additional hours, except as approved by the Lending/Membership Services Supervisor

Salary: Commensurate to Experience
