Full-time Teller

Responsibilities: The Teller’s major objective is to perform teller related member services in a manner, which is pleasurable to members.  Teller member services include processing cash transactions at the window, such as deposits, withdrawals, share drafts, traveler’s checks, gift checks, check withdrawals, bond redemptions, and cash advances, but is not limited, to the following:
  • Greet members
  • Provide information sought by members
  • Encode check deposits
  • Money Orders
  • Research Errors
  • Verify Cash
  • Process night deposit transactions
  • Cross sell all CU services as appropriate
  • Balance cash at end of business day
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements: High school diploma, or equivalent, cash handling experience or one years’ teller experience.  Serious candidates must be able to type for data entry, and use 10-key calculator by touch.  This individual must possess a friendly, cooperative attitude, enabling him/her to diplomatically handle difficult, uncooperative, and irate members.  A professional appearance is a must.
 
Administrative Policy: This position is a non-exempt post, in which the employee will work a 40-hour week for full-time with no additional hours, except as approved by the Senior Teller.
 
Reports to:  Cash Department Supervisor
 
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience
